Jennifer W. Christensen

Jennifer is a global leader who focuses on the recruitment of board directors and senior executives for clients in financial services, consumer goods, industrial products and professional services. She consults on leadership succession and boardroom issues. Prior to her executive search and leadership consulting career, she gained extensive experience in corporate strategy, operations management, marketing and organizational development.
Jennifer joined JDP after a long career at McKinsey & Company. Serving in a number of roles, she led strategic communications and firm-wide programs to reinforce values and innovation throughout the firm from the office of the global managing director in London. Previously, she served as global director of alumni relations, connecting alumni and helping match former consultants with companies. She began her McKinsey career working with consumer goods, retail and industrial manufacturing clients in the U.S. and Europe.
As one of the rare consultants to leave and return to McKinsey, she acquired valuable experience as Vice President - Sales and Marketing for Creativity for Kids, an educational toy company and as a P&L business unit manager at Progressive Insurance, responsible for strategic alliance ventures. She began her career at Procter & Gamble as a manufacturing manager in the soap division.
Jennifer earned an MBA at the Harvard Business School and holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University. She served as a board member of Cleveland Children's Museum and Ideastream, Cleveland's PBS television and NPR radio station, Team Evanston Soccer Club, and as an officer in the Harvard Business School Club.
Jennifer and her husband, Paul, live in Evanston, Illinois with their two daughters. Jennifer enjoys running, skiing, golf, chocolate, and coaching basketball.
